Coach Ben Durham Joins the Central Hinds Staff

Ben Durham is an experienced football coach with 22 years of head coaching experience and over 150 career wins. He spent the last three years serving as the Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Marshall Academy in Holly Springs, MS. During his tenure at Marshall Academy, Ben has led his teams to significant achievements, including a 2024 AAA State runner-up finish and being named South Reporter Coach of the Year in both 2022 and 2024. He also served as a head coach in the 2024 MAIS 4A/5A/6A All-Star Game and the Super Sophomore Magnolia Bowl, securing victories in both.
Prior to his time at Marshall Academy, Coach Durham held similar roles at Marvell Academy in Marvell, AR, from 2013 to 2021. His success there resulted in a 2019 AA State runner-up finish and four DistrictChampionship and District Coach of the Year awards (2015, 2016, 2018, 2019). His earlier head coaching roles include positions at Briarfield Academy (LA), Resurrection Catholic School (MS), Bluffton High School (IN) and Lapel High School (IN), where he also led teams to notable successes. Ben also has coaching experience at the collegiate level, working as a running back coach at Indiana State University and as a defensive back coach at William Penn University(IA).
Coach Durham holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and has an unwavering enthusiasm for the game of football. In his spare time, he enjoys studying football, watching games and spending time with his family. He is married to his wife of 20 years, Beth, and they have two children. Addison will be a starting college at Mississippi State this fall, and Drew will be enrolling as a freshman at Central Hinds Academy.
