Coach Jeff McFerran Joins Central Hinds Academy

Central Hinds is excited to announce the newest addition to our faculty, Coach Jeff McFerran. Coach McFerran will be an assistant football coach, track coach and teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Coach McFerran played football at Vanderbilt University and the University of Memphis. While at Vanderbilt he was named A.P. Freshman All American and led the team in tackles. As a coach, he has been named region coach of the year seven times. He has been a head coach for fifteen years and served as both an offensive and defensive coordinator. He has also coached at multiple schools in Mississippi and Tennessee. Coach McFerran most recently served as the defensive coordinator at Hartfield Academy. In his four years as defensive coordinator, Hartfield won 29 games and the 2023 State Championship.
CHA Head of School, Billy W. Hankins, said "We are trilled to have Coach McFerran joining us at Central Hinds. Between him and Coach Durham, we have two coaches on our staff that have over twenty-five years of head coaching experience. More importantly, these two coaches are good people that will bring a strong work ethic to our football program". Coach McFerran and his wife Kathy are members at Pinelake Church. We are extremely excited to see how Coach McFerran will help our Cougar community continue to grow and improve.
