Dylan is an exceptional athlete participating in golf, baseball as an outfielder and pitcher, soccer as a goalie and midfielder, and football as a middle linebacker, running back, and H back. He was also voted by his teammates as a captain for his senior year. He has received many accolades for his prowess on the football field such as: All MAIS, 4A Defensive Player of the Year, All-Star, District Defensive MVP, and Gatlenburg All-American. He mentions getting the All District and 4A Defensive Player of the year awards, as well as making the All-Star team in football as some of his proudest moments here at Central Hinds. He also mentions being able to play sports with his friends and cheering them on from the stands as some of his most fun memories. Dylan mentions Coach Vincent as having impacted his life the most at CHA "because he's always given me good advice and taught me a lot on and off the field". When asked what advice he has to leave for future generations of cougars Dylan says "Don't take your time at Central Hinds for granted and always listen to your teachers' and coaches' advice." Dylan plans to further his education at Hinds Community College in the fall and pursue a trade career. As a member of the National Honor Society Dylan has received both the Ken Smith Foundation Scholarship and an ACT scholarship to help him begin his college journey. She is currently a member of the ACT 25+ club as well. The staff member that Brooke mentions as having had a lasting impact on her time at CHA is Mrs. Massey. She says, "She was a big influence encouraging my walk with God through our senior Bible study group.". When asked what advice she has for future cougars she says "Live in the moment!". Brooke is also a student athlete playing on the #1 girls doubles tennis team for the cougars. And one of her proudest moments at CHA was winning South State with her tennis team. Brooke has been able to develop her athletic talents enough while in high school to be able to be a part of the tennis team at Hinds Community College next year after graduation. She will be starting her college career with both Foundation and ACT scholarships under her belt. We want to wish Brooke good luck in all of her future endeavors and can't wait to see what she accomplishes after she leaves Central Hinds. Go Eagles!

Senior Spotlight: STAR Student Noah DeLaughter of Clinton, MS
Noah is a student that excels in all areas of campus life here at Central Hinds Academy. Noah's proudest moment was being awarded the 2025 STAR Student Award. It is no surprise that Noah was also named a Nation Merit Semi-Finalist and was voted by the student body as Most Likely to Succeed. He is currently serving his class as a student government representative. He has gained membership in all of our honor societies: National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society. Noah is a student athlete as well playing catcher and second base on the cougar baseball team. One of the most fun memories he has from his time here is winning in the first round of playoffs for baseball his junior year. He mentions Coach Etheridge as a staff member that has greatly impacted his time at CHA. He says " (he) not only taught me dual credit government where I learned everyone has different opinions but he also coached me in baseball". Noah's advice for future cougars is "Don't wish for what's next until you fully embrace what you already have.". Noah will attend The University of Southern Mississippi in the fall where he has received scholarships to the Honors College, for his ACT, and as a National Merit Semi Finalist. He plans to major in legal studies/Pre-Law. We wish Noah good luck in his future endeavors and can't wait to see what he accomplishes after he leaves Central Hinds. SMTTT!

Payton excels as a student and is a member of the National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society. It is no surprise she is a member of the ACT 25+ club. Payton is also a student athlete playing on the tennis team and cheering on the cougars as a varsity cheerleader. At CHA's annual beauty and beau she was awarded High School Most Beautiful. One of Paytons fun memories from her time here is how much she loved the senior led Bible study. Mr. Burgess is the teacher she mentions as having a big impact in her life. She says. "Mr. Burgess is a teacher that impacted my time at CHA because he always goes above and beyond for his students to better our academics and encourage us to do our best." Her advice to future cougars is "Do your best to be a good role model. Make a point to get to know the younger kids at our school. They look up to the "big kids" and it makes more of an impact on them than you realize". Payton's plan for the future is to attend Mississippi College on the Speed Scholarship where she plans to major in business. We wish Payton good luck in all her future endeavors and can't wait to see what she accomplishes as she leaves Central Hinds. Go Choctaws!
